Change is in the Air!

Change is in the air. Have you noticed? Just look at the flowers and trees and the flocks of birds that signify change every season. There is nothing wrong with change even though we resits it. How else can life progress? How else can new ideas surface? How much we have progressed in simply sending a message. You know the progression – paint on walls, stone chiseled, ink hand sprawled across parchment and then paper, letters carried by a courier, then pony express rider, who were replaced by trains, replaced by the telegraph, which gave way to the telephone, and email, then a chat, and now mobile computing devices that allow us to video call from any place in the world.

Every instant changes are in process. “Everything changes and nothing remains still… and… you cannot step twice into the same stream,” Plato quoted from Heraclitus in 402 BCE. Unity North Truth Center in Indianapolis is in a change process. We must be sure to keep upmost in our daily thoughts that there is One Presence and Power working for and within you and the Center under all circumstances.

Change is simply a time of readjustment. No matter how circumstance tries to modify or change Truth or its teachings, Truth lives on. There it is, poking its head through present facts. If we stay centered in our faith, focused on our beliefs, we see it shinning like a lamp in a dark room. We only have to keep on, keeping on knowing the Truth. As you read on in the next article you will become aware of these changes. But regardless of any changes there is always one thing that never changes, or gets old or worn out; always the same and always available. The unwavering Love of God, guiding, supporting, working through everyone, as we work through this time of change.

The Earth is alive!

In my moment of silence recently, these words came to me and I’d like to share them with you now.
“The development of media has awakened us to our planet connectedness and our responsibility to maintain inner and outer peace. Fear, anger, “get mine”, affects the balance in and the energy around this planet and it is a living thing and will protect itself whatever way necessary.
“Media is a good thing. It allows us to witness the results of our inner – outer response to our world. Think about it: think peace, love, forgiveness, compassion, sharing. Now is the time. Perhaps this is wherein lies the on-going predictions about 2012. Time to discard the old ways and adapt the new!
“Inner/outer peace and acceptance.”

INNER FREEDOM

I was just watching a clip from a U-tube article involving the emotional struggle of the people in Cairo. Their demands could be duplicated in all of us when we acknowledge just how much more we could be doing each day for our human family. Most of us seem to be struggling for freedom in one way or the other. Some want freedom from debt, some seek freedom from feeling lost or abandoned by family or friends, and yes, even their government. Is there an answer for any of these? I think so. Begin by strengthening the image of the most important person in your life—You!

Find something, something to be happy about even if it is seeming inoculates as a tiny blade of grass. It is life. You are life, Celebrate

Next, start developing a sense of non-resistance. Resistance can cause painful friction. Any situation can be handled by a calm, alert, observation and patiently doing what is next to do. Non-resistance isn’t easy. We want it fixed and right now…but all of the pieces have to be in place before the answer can come.

And when the next move takes more time than you think it should, Be Still. If you are filled with fear, frustration, fright, and maybe fight, Spirit, God, George (whatever you want to call that Inner Center where you’re really productive answers lie) will reveal your next move.. Yes BE STILL. For in that Stillness comes the answer you are truly needing. And…when it come, get the heck up and do it!

Life is learning

Certainly today life is a path of unceasing learning. We learn new cellphones, new computer apps, new ways to get or do that which we thought had been familiar from our childhood. But isn’t the very nature of Good to be ever changing? And thus, we become beings that are ever learning, trying, working to master. Learning is a key element of this experience we call life, and a necessary component of our soul and relationship with God. So don’t resist learning, it is the way the ever changing is adapting and expanding and you along with it.
